"What do you do with lavender?"

We get asked this question very often. Since lavender is not native to this part of the country, many of you may be wondering as well!

Over the next few weeks, we'll give you some ideas about how to use lavender so you'll be prepared. When it's time to come pick your lavender, you'll know what kind to look for and how to use it. There is so much you can do with lavender. Oh, where do I begin?

A fun way to enjoy your lavender long after summer ends is by crafting. Wreaths (dried and fresh) are a beautiful way to enjoy the look and scent of your lavender for years (I'm not kidding!) I have a 3 year old wreath that still smells wonderful. Weaving lavender wands is also a nice way to preserve the buds' aroma. These are fun to sit around and make with your friends using different colored ribbons. We will have workshops for both of these crafts in June.

I'll be in touch with more tips soon! We look forward to sharing our farm with you!
