Tessa Habash Art

As I continue to grow as an artist, I'm most inspired while enjoying the outdoors.  The natural world continues to amaze me with its beauty.  I strive to capture this wonder in my art.

I enrolled in my first painting class as an adult in 1995.  I continued to enjoy painting on & mostly off until 2020.  I was drawn to painting again as the world seemed to turn upside down.  Putting a dot of paint on a canvas seemed like something I could control at the time which gave me peace.  I was introduced in 2022 to watercolor painting by a close friend and I was again drawn in by the art of painting.  I try to paint most days now and have a lovely studio set up in my house (thanks family!)

In 2023, I entered my first juried art show with The Lexington Art League and was accepted for the show Horse Sense which was on public display at The Loudon House in March 2023.  My painting was purchased by a curator at UK Children's Hospital and is on display there.

I now teach regular painting workshops at our farm in watercolor and acrylic.  I enjoy seeing others create such unique pieces as they draw inspiration from nature as I love to do.  I hope to pass along the joy I have received from painting in my life to someone else.  That would be a true gift.
